Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since the age of nine. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. After this she was hired by the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009 she relocated to Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. Anchor duties for sports or weather were often demanded. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She wrote on the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. The show was commissioned as a sports anchor by Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. In the same capacity she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta's parents are originally of Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd on the 22nd of October, 1985, in Mexico City. She also has an older sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sibling in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she would like her life to be like, visited Mount Union University in order to find out whether the university was suitable for her. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she wanted. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the university. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of her class, formed an ongoing friendship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her. She determined to meet his expectations and never failed him.
